Did you know that Neal Brothers also has a full sales team in Quebec? Our bi-monthly employee feature this month is about Jeanne, a loving mom and social butterfly, read on to find out more!
1/ How long have you been at Neal Brothers and what is your role?
I have been working at Neal Brothers for six (6) years now. I am the Key Account Manager for the Quebec Market.
2/ Why do you love working Neal Brothers?
Peter and Chris have created a family like environment that gives me a sense of belonging. Despite the growth of the company throughout the years, the brothers have done an exceptional job of making us all feel important and continuously recognize our hard work. The involvement of the company in the community and the amazing causes they support makes me really proud to be apart of this team.
3/ Tell us one of your favourite stories from working at Neal Brothers.
My favourite story from my time at Neal Brothers happened just before I started working for the company. Peter and Chris were often clients of mine at the hotel that I was working for. Side note, I do have to say that they were among our favourite guests, as they always made sure we had snacks to munch on when they were in town. During my maternity leaves, they contacted me to offer me a job (as they were looking for another sales representative in the Montreal area). I was flattered that they have thought of me. This was a very exciting, yet, scary proposition, and I initially turned it down. However, hours later, I reconsidered and accepted their job offer. Ever since, I have never looked back and I have zero regrets!
4/ What would you say is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?
I would have to say that the most adventurous thing I have done is zip-lining over 800 feet about the rain forest in Costa Rica, even though I am afraid of heights!
5/ What does your day off look like?
My day off consists of spending quality time with my husband Eddy, and 7-year-old son Mateo. It also includes going for a run, attending my son’s various sporting activities and going out in the evening or entertaining at home. We have a very busy social life and our friends often joke that they need to make an appointment to see us weeks in advance!
6/ What is your Goodness?
My philosophy in life is to enjoy every minute of every day, as life is too short. My goodness is trying to spread this way of thinking to everyone around me, I never take for granted anything and I am very grateful for everything I have.
7/ Where is your favourite place ot wine/dine in your city and why?
Everywhere and anywhere, Montreal is such a foodie town that it’s hard to pick just one place! As long as I have good food and great wine then I am a happy girl! There are many hidden gems throughout Montreal, to name a few, Foxy, Escondite, Habanera, Tiradito, and the list can go on.
8/ What is your favourite Neal Brothers product and how do you eat it?
It’s hard to pick just one. My son is a big fan of our BBQ Chips and Cheddar Puffs, which I would have to agree with! Those are among the best we have.
9/ What would be your last meal? (Don’t hold back)
A bottle of champagne would be just fine for me! (laughing) If I had to eat, a nice plate of homemade pasta with meatballs (can’t deny my Italian roots) or scallops and lobster would make me happy!
We really enjoyed getting to meet Jeanne, and hope everyone else did to! We look forward to learning more about everyone each day!
